Why You're NOT Seeing Results.

Water boils at 100 degrees. Not 98. Not 99.

What’s up friend,

You know who the fastest man in the world is. But do you know who came in second?

No?

You don’t?

He was slower by just 0.11 seconds. One tenth of a second.

Such a tiny difference that if you blinked—you would miss it.

Yet, because of that tiny difference, you don't know who he is. Most people don't know who he is.

  • He doesn't get the same recognition.

  • Not the same commercial spots.

  • Not the same pay-check.

  • You name it.

Why?

Because he was 0.11 seconds slower.

0.11 seconds!

It is this simple observation that explains why you’re not seeing the results you want.

Because let’s be real:

You’re not doing nothing. You might struggle with discipline, but you are trying. You are taking action towards your goals. You ARE moving forward.

Yet, it doesn’t really seem like you’re getting the results you expect, right?

That's what I want to talk about:

Water boils at 100 degrees.

Not 98.

Not 99.

But 100.

The last push is EVERYTHING.

It's the difference between worldwide recognition, opportunities, and money(Usain Bolt). Or barely being known. (Tyson Gay).

It's the difference between dominating life, or not seeing results at all.

So let's dive in...

📢 Quick announcement before we begin:

Alright, let’s continue…

Linear Result Thinking.

Most people think that results are linear. This is the normal way of thinking.

"If I put in 20% in, I get 20% out".
"If I put in 60% in, I get 60% out".
"If I put 90% in, I get 90% of out."

Etc.

This is how that looks:

They also believe that if they do a bit more than the average person, they will get amazing results. Because, by definition, if you do more than the average person, you are "above average".

And being above average means you get the results that most people don't get, right?

Wrong.

It doesn't work like that.

Results Are Exponential.

Most results only come when you get up in the 90%+ of effort/input.

It looks more like this:

It's the obsessed ones that get all the rewards. The ones that dedicate their life to it. The ones that go all in.

The winners(Like Usain Bolt) reap all the benefits.

He gave it EVERYTHING.

While runners who gave it 50%, 70%, even 80% - 90% got very little, if anything.

Again, water boils at 100 degrees.

Not 98.

Not 99.

100.

The higher up you go on the chart, the bigger the difference in results.

For example, If you put in 10% effort, you might get 2% of the output. But let's say you put in 50% effort, you might get 15% of the output. 5x more effort(40% more) for 13% more output.

But now let’s go to the higher levels.

When you put in 90% effort, you get back 50%. But when you put in 91% effort, you get back 60%. And then you put in 92% effort and you get back 70%. Etc.

The higher up you go, the more any amount of extra effort counts.

Just tiny jumps of 1% extra effort bring in 10% extra output.

It's exponential. It compounds.

Look at the chart once more:

That's why most people don't see results:

They don't understand how this works and expect results to be linear.

They put in some effort—even more than most people—but don’t see results and give up.

They don't understand that most output comes at the end of the chart. At the higher percentages of input. At an amount of input that is unreasonable to most people.

Because everyone can do a little more than average…

But not everyone is willing to make the sacrifices and give the amount of effort required to see results.

Pain is the filter.

The struggle filters out those who aren't committed.

Most results don't come from luck or talent or a bit of extra effort.

  • It's about who is willing to suffer for the longest.

  • Who is willing to make the sacrifices.

  • Who is willing to give it the most.

You don't win championships by giving it 80%. You have to get as close to 100% as possible. That's when you can get what you want.

And this applies to your job, your business, your relationships, the gym, you name it.

"The more you put in, the more you get out.”

Rich Piana

You can't expect to give it anything less than your very best and get the results you want.

You can't:

  • Go to the gym only when you feel like it.

  • Do some random exercises.

  • Have poor sleeping habits.

  • Drink alcohol daily.

  • Eat like shit.

And then expect to get the body and vitality you want.

Just because most people DON’T exercise doesn't mean you're guaranteed results if you DO exercise.

You have to give it more. Much more.

You have to:

  • Fix your sleep schedule.

  • Create an exercise plan.

  • Quit drinking.

  • Fix your diet.

  • Etc.

It's only when you do that...

...When you give it so much more than the average person, that you start getting the results you are looking for.

Now, some might say: "But I want to live my life. I should be able to enjoy eating junk food, drinking alcohol, and partying until morning."

Of course.

You can do whatever you want.

But you can't have both at the same time.

This is why "balance" is B.S. advice for ambitious people. Because if you try to be “balanced”, you are not able to give it enough effort to start reaping the rewards.

So whatever you're trying to do, understand that you have to give it as much as you can.

"Do what you can, and do the best you can.”

Jim Rohn

If you want abnormal results, you have to be an abnormal person and do abnormal things.

You literally can not do what everybody else is doing(or just a little more) and expect a different outcome.

"Normal training gives you fucking normal results."

David Goggins

You have to adopt the mindset of:

IT'S ALL OR NOTHING(LITERALLY).

There is no point in half-baked attempts.

Because remember, it won’t be enough to reach the point of exponential results.

Always remember:

"Water doesn't boil at 99 degrees."

  • Remind yourself that you have to give it EVERYTHING.

  • Remind yourself that you have to go hard or go home.

  • Remind yourself that results are exponential.

If you can imprint this idea into your mind, you will start to understand why you're not seeing results(yet). You will start being more patient. You won’t get discouraged as easily. And you'll gladly work hard because you know that the harder you work, the more you'll get in the end(IF you don’t quit).

So decide now:

Give it 100%, or don’t bother.

That's it for today.

Thanks for reading, and I wish you nothing but the best.

Cheers,

-Elevate Start.
